CU Engage Spotlight – Lizzy Shebanek
We are putting the spotlight on Lizzy Shebanek! As one of our Business Analysts, Lizzy works in tandem with the consultants to manage projects and ensure our clients’ needs are met. Affectionately nicknamed ‘The Lizard’, Lizzy is beloved by her team for being a glass-half-full kind of person, helpful and a go-getter. She came to CU Engage a little more than two years ago after she was introduced to her college friend’s dad, CU Engage co-founder, James Guild. Lizzy quickly became an integral part of the team and her dedication and enthusiasm haven’t wavered.
Putting the Lizard Under the Heat Lamp
Lizzy is a confident introvert-turned-extrovert, only child and is close to her parents Ron and Janet, (whom she speaks of often). Lizzy moved to Tampa, Florida when
she was five and spent almost her entire life there. Recently she wanted to try something new, so she moved to Washington, D.C. Lizzy still considers herself a true Floridian, but quite happy in the capital city because there is always something to do. She ranks moving to D.C. and all the growth that came with the move, both personal and professional, among her top three life highlights. The other two top highlights are finding her people in college and earning her master’s degree in Management.
Outside of work, Lizzy enjoys eating, traveling, exercising and anything outdoors, especially things on or around the water…except camping (“hotels exist for a reason”). She would eat all the pasta if given the chance, but Lizzy is willing to try any food that isn’t a bug. She is happiest when she is enjoying good food and wine with the people she loves.
A true 90’s kid, Lizzy’s first concert was Britney Spears and her favorite 90’s jam is Give Me One More Night (Una Noche) by 98 Degrees. Below are just a few more interesting things about Lizzy. Read on to learn more about her, and maybe find some interesting facts or something you have in common with her.
